The Dept. of Educational Technology at BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY is pleased to announce a new ground-breaking graduate elective, 15 weeks, 3 credits, for the spring 2008 semester, January 22-May 9.Seems to be a sign of the times, first the TEGIVS program, now this. Wonder what is next...

EDTECH 597: Virtual School Leadership in K12

Course fees: $1,044 regardless of location
Instructor: Dr. Donna Vakili, Executive Director of Idaho Digital Learning Academy, and Board Member of North American Council for Online Learning.
Fully online, internet based course using Blackboard.
Description: The exponential increase in K-12 virtual education demands leaders who are technology innovators, business savvy, instructional leaders, and knowledgeable about policy, practice, and public relations. We will examine the issues critical to virtual K-12 schools sustainability. Participants will explore policy, accountability, educational quality, administration, funding, and supervision in virtual schools including the unique role that virtual education plays in educational reform.
