Free Webcast on Online Learning by U.S. Department of Education - Please Attend!

Just got this in my inbox.
Connecting Students to Advanced Courses Online By the U.S. Department of Education (book and webcast)

Webcast: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12, The U.S. Department of Education is having a live Webcast from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. (EST) to discuss Connecting Students to Advanced Courses Online, the latest publication in the Office of Innovation and Improvement¹s series, Innovations In Education.

The webcast will feature a panel of national education leaders and experts in online learning, including Assistant Deputy Secretary of Education Morgan Brown; Thomas Matts, Director of AP Course Audit at The College Board; Liz Pape, CEO of Virtual High School; and two high school administrators who partner with online course providers that are featured in the publication.

Among the issues the panel will explore are what services to expect from online providers; how to match students to appropriate online coursework; and how to ensure academic quality of online content and instruction.

Register for the webcast at: http://www.visualwebcaster.com/event.asp?id=42740

Book: The book is a guide for school leaders who are inexperienced with online education but who might be interested in using it to expand student access to AP and other advanced course work. Case studies of six online providers Colorado Online Learning; Florida Virtual School; Iowa Online Advanced Placement Academy; Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth; Virtual High School; and Michigan Virtual High School provide practical and proven approaches to online learning challenges. Secondary school administrators are particularly encouraged to bring together school leadership teams to view and participate in the webcast and then to obtain copies of the book.
I have another commitment at that time, but someone please post what they heard from this session.
